GENERAL T&C’S

1. The physiotherapist reserves the right to refuse treatment if there is considered to be a danger to human or animal.

2. Payment may be received via BACS, card reader or cash and must be paid within 24 hours after the appointment has been completed.

3. Invoices and confirmation emails will be sent via email 24 hours in advance of the appointment.

3. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full amount. Exceptions may be given in extreme circumstances.

4. Many insurance companies will reimburse costs for physiotherapy but you are advised to check your policy prior to any appointments.

5. All attempts will be made to treat; however, there may be instances where the practitioner is unable to attend the appointment, such as adverse weather. In this instance, an alternative date will be arranged.

6. Any person or animal presenting with an actively contagious illness will not be treated in order to comply with infection control policies.

7. All documentation will be protected in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

HUMAN PHYSIOTHERAPY

1. All clients must given consent prior to assessment/treatment in order to complete the appointment.

2. All clients are strictly bound by client confidentiality law within the Department of Health Code of Practice 2003.

3. Human clients are required to wear clothing that is non-restrictive and easy to provide treatment where possible (i.e. sports top and shorts).

4. All sessions are mobile and will be completed at a location specified by the client. It must be ensured that a safe and confidential space is available at the time of the appointment.

VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPY

1. In accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act of 1966, all animals must have a written veterinary referral.

2. All clients are strictly bound by client confidentiality law within the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.

3. All animals are treated with care and respect to prevent distress, ensuring the physiotherapist can achieve desired effect during treatment.

4. All animals must be well handled to ensure a safe, stress free appointment. The physiotherapist reserves the right to refuse treatment or request use of a muzzle where necessary.

5. Horses must be caught, groomed and have clean hooves ready for the appointment to allow maximum time for assessment and treatment.

6. Dogs must be clean and clipped where required prior to the appointment.

7. All sessions are mobile and will be completed at a location specified by the client. It must be ensured that a safe and enclosed environment is selected at the time of the appointment to ensure safety and avoid distress to the animal.
